Gearing up for the legendary Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Awards in November

The Oscars of the food industry have a new sponsor and are set to serve a dish infused with added innovation.

Eat Out has announced a new title sponsor and a brand-new venue for South Africa’s most prestigious restaurant awards, promising a super-charged event for food lovers this November.

Eat Out’s GM, Aileen Lamb, says ‘We’re thrilled that Mercedes-Benz South Africa (MBSA) has decided to join us this year as the title sponsor. We value our new partnership with this world-class brand and look forward to hosting the most impressive awards event yet.’

The restaurant awards, which acknowledge South Africa’s top chefs and restaurants, will be held on Sunday 16 November 2014 at Thunder City, Cape Town International Airport. The larger venue has been chosen to meet the growing demand for tickets and to allow even more innovative staging. Last year’s awards accommodated 500 guests. The stylish affair, often dubbed the Oscars of the food industry, is renowned for its multiple-course dinner showcase, prepared by award-winning chefs and paired with the country’s best wines.
